OUR MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

As planned in the article N° 2 of the Law setting up the Commission, it has five main objectives :

- To prepare the draft of the Constitution
- To search, collect and gather views from the population taking into account examples from other countries.
- To explain to the population what the Constitution is and its principal ideas.
- To prepare the Bills of Laws that will govern the last period of the transition.
- To collect all the laws that should be modified and adopt them to the Constitution.

How the Commission plans to achieve its Objectives ?

1. To train Members of the Commission, the Staff and the Population.

  • To train the Members of the Commission, the Staff so that they gain more knowledge.
  • To sensitise the population about the Constitution
  • To train specialized groups about the Constitution
  • To follow up closely the training of the population
  • To use the media

2. To consult the population in order to search, collect and gather their views

  • To prepare a program of meeting the population
  • To organise meetings with the population
  • To complete the views from the population

3. To write the draft of the Constitution

  • To prepare the draft of the Constitution
  • To discuss with the population about the contents of the Constitution
  • To finalize the draft of the Constitution

4. To approve the draft of the Constitution in the Referendum

5. Management of the last period of the transition and to adopt other laws to the Constitution

  • To prepare bills of Laws that will govern the last transition period
  • To adopt laws with the Constitution
